The Marble Crab, scientifically known as *Metasesarma obesum*, is a small, terrestrial crab species commonly found in coastal areas and mangrove forests of Southeast Asia. This crab is known for its striking, marbled shell pattern, which features a mix of dark and light colors that provide excellent camouflage in its natural habitat. Marble Crabs are highly adaptable and can live both on land and in water, although they prefer moist environments. They are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of plant material, detritus, and small invertebrates. In the aquarium hobby, they are prized for their unique appearance and interesting behavior, but they require a carefully managed environment to thrive.
