The Regani Dwarf Pike, one of the smallest and most tranquil species of Pike Cichlids, inhabits the clear and black water rivers of the Brazilian Amazon, particularly in shallow regions. Unlike its genus counterparts, these Pike Cichlids thrive when kept in groups, provided that there is sufficient cover and hiding spots within the aquarium. They coexist harmoniously with live plants and usually do not disturb other tankmates. However, it's worth noting that shrimp or exceptionally tiny fish might be perceived as potential prey by them.
