The rummy nose tetra, also known as Hemigrammus rhodostomus, is a freshwater fish species that is native to the Amazon River basin in South America. It is a popular choice for aquarium enthusiasts due to its vibrant coloration and peaceful nature.

Rummy nose tetras are relatively small, growing up to about 2 inches in length. They have a distinct silver body with a red nose and a black and white band on their tail.
