Description
Pelvicachromis pulcher, commonly known as the Kribensis or Krib, is a species of cichlid fish native to West Africa, particularly Nigeria and Cameroon. They are popular aquarium fish known for their vibrant colors, peaceful temperament (for a cichlid), and interesting behaviors. Kribs are relatively small, reaching about 3-4 inches in length, and they prefer densely planted aquariums with plenty of hiding spots. They are also known for their breeding behavior, with the female guarding the eggs and fry while the male defends the territory.
