The Auratus Cichlid (Melanochromis auratus) is a type of African Cichlid native to Lake Malawi. This aquarium fish is renowned for its aggressive nature. Among the mbuna group, known for their aggressiveness, the Auratus Cichlids stand out as one of the most aggressive members. Surprisingly, they have been known to intimidate fish twice their size. In their natural habitat of Lake Malawi, it is common to observe them in groups consisting of 8 to 10 individuals.
