Description
The Golden Puffer, also known as the Avocado Puffer or Bronze Puffer, is a true freshwater species native to parts of Southeast Asia. These fast-moving fish are often found in groups in the wild, but in captivity, they should be kept with hardy, fast-moving tankmates to avoid having their fins nipped. A group of five or more Golden Puffers can be kept together, provided that they are fed heavily and given plenty of cover to avoid aggression. In the wild, they inhabit fast-flowing waters, so adding a powerhead for some current may be beneficial in the aquarium.
