The bumblebee catfish exhibits captivating and vibrant colors, making it a visually appealing fish to observe. Its behavior is particularly entertaining when it emerges from its hiding hole to scavenge for food. Typically, this species is nocturnal, preferring to venture out at night. However, if it detects the presence of food during the daytime, it will actively feed, even in the middle of the day. The bumblebee catfish demonstrates its resourcefulness by burying its head in the substrate to access the scant bits of food scattered throughout the tank.
