Geosesarma dennerle, also known as the Vampire Crab, is a species of small land-living crabs native to Java, Indonesia. It has gained popularity in the aquarium trade, where it is commonly referred to as simply "Vampire Crab".

Despite their name, Vampire Crabs are not bloodsuckers but are named for their dark coloration and the small, pointy protrusions on their claws that resemble fangs. They are primarily land-dwelling but require access to freshwater pools or streams for breeding and molting.

Vampire Crabs are known for their striking colors and patterns, which can range from bright orange to deep purple with spots and stripes. They are relatively easy to care for and can be housed in small to medium-sized terrariums with damp soil, moss, and small water features.

In the wild, these crabs feed on a variety of insects and small invertebrates, and they can be fed a similar diet in captivity. They are also known to scavenge on plant matter and decaying organic material. It's important to keep their habitat clean and well-maintained, as they are susceptible to bacterial infections and other diseases.
