Albino Sterbai Cory

The Sterbai Cory, also known as the Sterba's Cory or Sterbai Corydoras, is a popular freshwater aquarium fish that is native to the upper reaches of the Guaporé River in Brazil. It is a member of the Corydoras genus, which is a group of small catfish that are well-known for their peaceful demeanor, social behavior, and unique appearance.

The Sterbai Cory is particularly popular among aquarium enthusiasts because of its distinctive markings and bright orange fins. Its body is covered in a pattern of black spots that are set against a white or cream-colored background, and its fins are tipped with bright orange or red. The Sterbai Cory is a relatively small fish, typically reaching a length of 2-3 inches (5-8 cm) when fully grown.

In terms of care, the Sterbai Cory is relatively easy to keep and is a good choice for beginners. They are a hardy species that can adapt to a range of water conditions, but prefer slightly acidic water with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. They are also very social fish and should be kept in groups of at least six individuals to promote their natural behavior and reduce stress.

In terms of diet, the Sterbai Cory is an omnivore and will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, and frozen or live foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp. They are bottom-dwellers and will spend much of their time scavenging for food in the substrate, so it's important to provide them with a soft, sandy substrate that won't damage their delicate barbels. Overall, the Sterbai Cory is a peaceful and attractive fish that is well-suited to community aquariums.
