Description
Polypterus senegalus, the smallest member of the Polypterus family, can reach a maximum size of 50 cm in the wild, but typically grows only up to 25 cm in the aquarium. These fish are known for their peaceful and active nature. They have a wide distribution range, inhabiting 26 countries across West, Central, and Eastern Africa, including areas near the river Nile and Lake Chad.
