Yoyo Loaches are social creatures that thrive when living among their own kind and generally exhibit a peaceful demeanor when in the company of compatible tank mates. However, keeping a single Yoyo Loach alongside other fish types might trigger displays of aggression, especially if it perceives threats. To ensure their well-being and harmonious behavior, it's advisable to maintain a group of Yoyo Loaches. By doing so, they find security within a school of their own kind, promoting peaceful interactions and facilitating their overall care.

The social nature of Yoyo Loaches is evident in the establishment of a hierarchical structure among themselves, forming a distinct pecking order. When assembling a group, a minimum of three individuals is recommended to foster a cohesive and thriving community.

Maintaining the natural peace of Yoyo Loaches requires housing them alongside compatible tank mates that share a tranquil disposition. Placing them with other peaceful fish prevents unnecessary stress that might arise if kept in the company of more aggressive species. Stressed Yoyo Loaches tend to exhibit evasive behavior, possibly leading to extended hiding periods or even reduced appetite due to heightened stress levels.

Creating a suitable environment for Yoyo Loaches involves considerations beyond just tank mates. These fish are sensitive to excessive noise, and placing their tank in a location free from loud music or blaring television is advised to prevent additional stress.

Unlike many other loach species that are primarily active during the night, Yoyo Loaches are active during the daytime. They engage in searching for food within the chosen substrate and display lively swimming patterns in more open spaces. Their vibrant presence adds interest and energy to the lower levels of your aquarium, enhancing the overall visual appeal.

In terms of lifespan, Yoyo Loaches can live between 5 to 8 years if their specific needs are met and they receive proper care and attention. By providing an environment conducive to their social nature and minimizing stress factors, you can contribute to their longevity and well-being.
