The bumblebee goby is a small, freshwater fish species native to Southeast Asia, including Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. They are popular aquarium fish, known for their unique appearance and interesting behavior.

Bumblebee gobies have a distinct black and yellow striped pattern, resembling that of a bumblebee, which helps them blend in with their surroundings in their natural habitat. They are small fish, typically reaching a maximum size of around 1.5 inches (4 cm) in length.

Bumblebee gobies are generally peaceful and can be kept in community aquariums with other peaceful fish species that are not too large or aggressive. They prefer soft, slightly acidic water with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5 and a temperature range of 75-82°F (24-28°C). Bumblebee gobies are omnivorous and will eat a variety of foods, including live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and small crustaceans, as well as sinking pellets or flakes.

One interesting behavior of bumblebee gobies is that they are known to jump out of the water, particularly when they are stressed or spooked. For this reason, it is important to provide a secure lid for their aquarium to prevent them from escaping. Bumblebee gobies are relatively hardy and easy to care for, making them a popular choice for hobbyists looking for a unique and interesting addition to their aquarium
