Description
Rosemariae Pike Fish
Crenicichla rosemariae, belonging to the Pike family, is a sizable predatory fish species found in the Xingu River. These pikes are notable for their eye-catching appearance, with a striking red coloration present on their dorsal fin and lower body, complemented by a vibrant, spotted green coloration in the middle section. It is believed that these distinct colors may play a role in breeding behaviors. As with all pike species, Crenicichla rosemariae display high aggression levels, necessitating their placement in spacious aquariums to accommodate their potential growth.
